Hi,
My name is Poppy and i just started collecting this week, i have a grand collection of ONE! (.....so far) I aim to collect roughly 1978-1986 which is the era i played with my original Sindy's. I was just recently re-introduced to Sindy as i saw 3 boxed pieces of furniture in a charity shop (which i didn't buy) and it got me thinking later that evening. I could kick myself now for not buying them after checking out the cost of collecting these items on ebay! I have been trolling through collector sites all weekend and could cry as i had virtually every single doll, outfit, scene setter, house and accessory. All my things were handed down to my younger sister who wrecked most things but as i was a teenager at the time i wasn't too interested. That was many years ago now and i hope to collect at least a few of my favourites. So thats me...

Welcome aboard Poppy I hope you will enjoy your time here, make loads of friends and in time regain some of the Sindys and the outfits that you had as a child. eBay is very fickle in regards to pricing.... sometimes you can grab a real bargain and at others have to pay over the odds for something, but it sure is fun looking!! ;D Take Care, Have Fun and chat again soon, Luv Anita xxx

Hi Poppy. Welcome to the forum. I hope you have fun here and can find your favourite Sindy's. Good luck with hunting them and hopefully other Sindy items down. I came to Sindy again late and have been buying up my own childhood Sindy's. It is amazing how quickly a collection grows! Looking forward to chatting and hearing how you get on.

Welcome Poppy - I think we all started with one but that's all you need. I wonder what your collection will look like this time next year! Your Bridal Scene sounds lovely - be sure to post some pics when it's finished!
Enjoy!

Hi Poppy, the bridal scene sounds lovely. There is a Hasbro (?) one which always goes expensive on evilbay. I always think a bridal scene would be beautiful for displaying a selection of brides (like a bridal show) and it would give all the other girls a chance to show off their posh frocks and big hats. We have an ebay addicts thread on here. Keep a close eye on your spending Sindy is a high maintenence girl

Hi Poppy! I had to reply as I was that little sister for my older sister! I grew up with Hasbro Sindys that invaded my sister's Pedigree house. Although I didn't wreck it (she didn't let me have all the furniture at once!) it isn't in as good as condition as it could be I'm in the process of collecting my own 1970s/1980s house, and got hooked on dolls. Within a year I have amassed a small army, be careful it's addictive! :-)
