doll outfits, would be? The Deep Sea Diver, for me! Why's that then? (I hear you yawn!!!) Even after all these years (First released during sixties, USA) it looks great, to me! And you can actually use the air pipes to make him rise to the surface of your bath water!!! Nostalgia plays it's part tho', (and although I stopped playing with him in the bath around the time the Bay City Rollers had their first top ten hit!) it is fondly remembered as the first Action Man outfit I had as a nipper for Xmas! And you can still put the outfit together for a reasonable price on e-bay! At the time of taking this pic - GI Joe Cobra Commander was Hannah's favourite outfit, however Xmas brought a Jessie doll (Toy Story) and the hooded one hasn't had so much as a sqeeze since!!! So, what would be one (or, two!) of your favourite outfits?

Great pics and outfits! I think we all choose something a little nostalgic don't we. Think my favourite Sindy outfits are mainly the early 80s ones, as they were the ones that I played with. I have my childhood dolls still and they are dressed in my favourties. There is Premiere Sindy, Girl Friday, Texas Rose, Stardance, Ballerina Active, the early 70s Cosy Coat and feeling frosty, Party Piece, Maid of Honour and my absolute favourtie~ Royal Gala. I could go on and on I love Sindy fashion, and it's mainly what I collect as opposed to furniture or houses etc. I'll try and take some pics soon (I always say this though and rarely get around to it!) Keep posting your photos. I love to see them! Becky xxx

:)Also add great pics too. I remember so well the deep sea diver AM hood which i too had at one point.
I'm an old romantic so for me it's practically all of Sindys long frocks and wedding frocks, which i have quite a few of, though still missing some faves. I'd love the early 70's Summer Party especially dressed on a minty brunette trendy even though this era is not a must have for me as a collector as i prefer Sindy mainly from 76 onwards. I'd really like Fine and Fancy the lacy blouse with long floral skirt number. My kevin tends to treat me gradually to my missing wants for Birthdays and Christmas's. Another fave that i dont have is the 81 lacy wedding dress with the v neck and full skirt with the veil in the same material, its featured in the back picture page of the 83 Annual on a beautiful brunette S along with brunette S in all her gown collections from 81. I tend to love also all Sindys very classic rather (70's Good Life Margo) numbers that some perhaps think are a bit frumpy for a teen doll. Lunch Date with the turban is another dream of an outfit i'd love but only have the blouse.
I couldn't really pick just one but i do love Tartan Touch and thanks to my Kevin i have this twice now, 1st a few years ago on a blonde ballerina and just this Christmas gone on a minty Cut and Style with lovely bouncy curls and long hairpiece.

'...There is Premiere Sindy, Girl Friday, Texas Rose, Stardance, Ballerina Active, the early 70s Cosy Coat and feeling frosty, Party Piece, Maid of Honour and my absolute favourtie~ Royal Gala.' I love some of the titles they conjure up for the sets! I'm not over familiar with most of them, but I'm referring to things like 'A walk in the park' 'Autumn days' etc Texas Rose, Stardance - they sound great, don't they!!! And I'm not sure if you made this one up, Carl? 'Lunch date with turban' but it sounds a cracker!!! and I could definitely imagine Margo arriving for a bit of 70's fondue in that outfit!

Carl!!! ~I love Tartan touch! it's a lovely outfit. I have the one that was my sisters. It's rather tatty, but it from the Family so good to have. I have never seen any of that Lunch Date anywhere. Good luck finding the rest of it. Sure it'll come together bit by bit. Do you have a lot of the Sindy annuals? Coalville~ LOL! Lunch date with turban is indeed a real outfit. It comes with a pink lycra turban!! It's fab!!! =D The names are brill aren't they. Some are really obvious, like the Autumn Designs from 84 ( Green Dress, Sailor Dress etc) then like you say you get Pinny Party, Sophisticated Lady, Rainy Days, Autumn Stroll..... They almost sound like chapters of a book don't they? Anita~ That outfit is lovely. I've only seen one complete and it was out of my reach price wise. That is one that I want. I guess its my version of Carl's lunch date!!!. x x x x x x Piccie for you Carl .Sadly it's not mine, it's off the web. xxx

Hi Becky Air Hostess is out of my price range too - it usually goes for over £100 Mint & Complete, depending on how many people are bidding on it via ebay. Never seen it on a BIN Seems Tartan Touch is a major fave as I have that x 1 myself and would like a dress like that for me right now!! It is so vintage and so mid-late 70s!! ;D I also like and have Pioneer Days Luv Anita xxx

Hi Anita, Tartan touch is gorgeous isn't it? Yours looks really sparkly!! mine is rough around the edges and well played with, but like I say both my sister and I played with it in our childhood, so it's special. I'm hoping I get a nice new one one day. Pioneer days is a fab outfit too!!! Your girls look fab! Yep, the hostess goes for lots of money doesn't it? If I had the money then I'd get it, but, I don't have the cash flow to justify it. Good luck to those that do though, they do right don't they? I love seeing what outfits everyone has. It's nice to see them displayed nicely. Often you can't get a feel for them from internet or ebay photos. Maybe we should have a photographic Fashion Show?! everyone chooses an era and shows us their favourites of the time?....hmmmm...... I think I'll see if anyone is interested!!! xxxxxx ;D

I also have a lot of favourites. I come from the '60's Sindy era but really like the outfits from the 70's and 80's as well.
My 60's favourite is Mary Poppins and from the other era's the ball/evening gowns. So romantic.
Love the Tartan Touch one as well. Anita, your girls do look the part. Well done.

:)Aaawwwhh cheers Fifties for adding the Lunch Date pic. I've seen that one before when web browsing our fave girl. Lovely pics too Anita and reminding me of another of my faves Pioneer Days. I have the white underdress and skirt to the outfit which i knitted a deep red tassled shawl for and knitted black boots as i didn't have the rest of the outfit and it really works. I have it dressed on one of my hard head sad face brunettes as the high frilled neckline is just the disguise for a horror of horrors broken neck below the ball joint that i had to glue to save her. I got her years ago from a flea market and i was only slightly moving her head when washing her and was so dismayed when her neck cracked almost completly open. Back to the outfit it reminds me of something they would wear in the film 'Meet Me in St Louis'.
I have to agree there is something very classy and becoming in Sindys Air Hostess Numbers. I dont have the vintage original one but my Kevin does. I have a number of the Vivid Air Hostess Girls and one of the tall New Moons MIB. I also have the 50's, 60's and the 70's Repro Air Hostess Sindys curtesy of my Kevin as presents over the last year, and he found me all the brunette issues i prefer.
I also totally love the names they gave her outfits, oh yes the images they conjure even when you havent seen them. Sindys vintage Pedigree Years really went to town with her outfits and gave Sindy that very English 'One Classy Girl' look didn't they.
I adore Sindys Houses and the Scenesetters which i have, but her Fashions are amazing decades of couture history.
Just an added note for Fifties yes fortunatly i have almost all the Annuals right from the 60's Sindy and Patch one through to Modern bright Vivid and New Moon Sindy Literature. I love the 83 through to 87 Annuals for the well detailed Sindy Adventures and pictures of her fashions in the scenesetters. The stories in this era are Just as i imagine Sindys world to be, an independent young woman with her house and fabbie clothes. The later annuals beyond Hasbro are no comparison when they turned Sindys world back to a young teen drinking smoothies, wearing pink and living with her parents and toddler Sister.

My favourite doll outfit is a bibi-bo outfit which is called "PARTY" and it comes from the 1981 bibi-bo/el greco collection. I love this outfit, because this is the one that my first bibi-bo doll ever came with. My parents gave that doll to me as a christmas present that year, when i was 8 years old . I had lost it, but a very good friend of mine from a greek forum where i write, found it and gave it to me as a birthday present last summer! I have to say that this is a very- very- very- rare outfit! Generally speaking, every bibi-bo outfit is very rare, because in Greece people used to get rid of their old toys and very few of them can be found in our days.. El greco, the manufacturer, was the most famous and biggest greek toy company, which was bought by hasbro in early 1990's. Hasbro ceased the production of the el greco toys a couple of years later Here is the outfit!

:)Aaaawwhh cheers for highlighting the ebay lisiting Anita. I'm being good though after Christmas as money is tight. I am actually happy with the OOAK knitted bits that complete the look for mine.
Love the BiBo outfit Tiny and it looks good on her. Pleased you found it if they are so hard to find.

Thank you Carl! It was very kind of my friend that he gave it to me, as he is a collector, too and this was not one of his duplicates . He was touched by the fact that this was my first ever bibi-bo outfit and i had lost it!

My favorite outfits change over time. One of my faves is the 1960s Emergency Ward nurses outfit. I also like the various beauty queen outfits as well.
