Hey Coalville Only just seen this about your avatar. I have a feeling it has to be Cheryl that does it. I asked when I first joined as I've still got one of generic ones, It'd be great if we could set our own avatar pics wouldn't it? I imagine we'd all be dolly based anyway!!! I Love the Tressy pic avatar!! Clever bit of work! Are your editing skills self taught or have you been to a class?? Hope this helps xxxx

Yes, Cheryl does all the Avatars for everyone ..... has done since day one when Sindy Online first started over five years ago now!! ;D You'll need to pick a Sindy, take a pic but don't re-size, then send directly to Cheryl with details of the name you want on it. Love your Tressy pic though Jim Cheers, Anita xxx

Thank you all for the help and advice! As soon as we get a vintage Sindy (Tressy obsessed at mo'!!! ) I'll take a snap and send it away to Cheryl! And thank you for kind comments about my pics! Becky, I've been practising with photoshop on and off for about a 14months now - still lots to learn, but I find it huge fun, and a great outlet for my limited creativity!!! ;D I work in a high school, and pick up a lot of tips at break/lunchtime from the kids that I work with!!!! My top tip is to sit down with your nearest 12-16yr old and get them to give you a quick workshop on how to use it!!!! Also, photobucket is very simple to upload your pics to, and having done that, it is really simple to add basic effects like tinting, or cutting etc

I have been trying to get my head round photoshop, I find it really frustrating. You are doing a good job with it.

Thanks Aman, I have been watching tutorials but I am starting from scratch and there is so much to learn and so many controls. I did this logo for the Inspire Academy Hip Hop group on facebook. Well actually I designed the flyers for them and just used the same image for their page www.facebook.com/pages/Inspire-Academy-Hip-Hop-Street-Dance-Classes-in-Tring/177611848930439That took me all day one Sunday Now I am trying to do something else but it says that my layer is locked and I can't fathom out how to unlock it. I am sure it is simple but I just can't work it out. I expect I am going to spend all day today trying to work this out. Jill x

Double click on the layer, and click ok - should do the trick!
Just had a look at the poster - excellent!

Thanks Aman, so simple but I have been going round in circles trying to do that. I kept clicking on the lock trying to find an unlock option. All I needed to do was double click Jill x
