Hello from Canada!!

Hi everyone! (waves and smiles!)
I am really pleased to be able to join this forum. I'm a fairly recent Sindy "convert" - I began to be interested in her when I lived in the UK in 2003 while teaching at the University of Reading and I would go to car boot sales on the weekend looking for Barbie stuff. I grew up with Barbie but wish I had grown up with Sindy as she is more realistic looking, I think. I once asked my mother why I didn't have Sindy - she was a Brit and I always got sent British toys from my grandparents in the UK - and she said she thought I wouldn't like her!!
Anyway, I now have a number of Sindys mostly from the 70s and early 80s -- and I have rerooted one and I am now addicted to thinking about how to take Sindys and make them unique.
I am also addicted to the Faerie Glen clothing of the 70s and 80s which is what I put on most of my dolls.
Sorry for rambling .. . . but I'm just really pleased to be here!

Hope you enjoy the Forum and garner lots of useful information from our threads and make loads of like-minded cyber friends along the way.;D We have had a few other Canadian members over the time the Forum has been in existence and Helen does pop on now and again but Carole seems to have disappeared into the ether!!

Would love to see pics of the Sindys you have restored so far
