This is Griais (pronounced Grayas, but we just call her Gray) my father-in-law's little dog. I'd love to have a dog of my own (and may do in a few years time) so I guess she's the nearest to having a pet I have at the moment. She's a miniature Schnauzer and is about 14 now but still bounces around like a young dog and she's extremely good natured - a faboulous family dog. Susan x

Oh My!! She's a pretty little thing Susan. ;D Ronnie Corbett has two of these fascinating dogs - he calls one Rags and the other Muffin. What funny ways does she have about her that come to mind and make you chuckle when you think of them? Thanks for sharing her pic with us Luv Anita xxx

Ah that's right Anita, I remember now that Ronnie Corbet had some. Griais get's funny when everyone's eating except her and she digs a pretend hole in the lino or carpet in protest! She get's yelled at and she stops, but a bit later you can hear the scratch, scratch, scratch sound again. I remember the old kitchen lino had a few worn marks in it where she'd 'dug' down! I'd say that's her only naughty habbit though. She's really good with children and has tolerated a lot with various toddlers and little kids attempting to play with her over the years! I wouldn't say she was well trained in regards to taking commands but she's a compliant little dog, stubborn when she wants to be, but generally does what you want her too ;D!

Hi Susan I think this is a general trait in all of the Terrier Groups in regards to food - the trick is to feed them just before you know that you are going to eat and to place their food in an area away from where you are going to be eating. Our WHFT was like that when we got him but Mam was patient with him and successfully trained him in that respect and he never asked for food. Sam actually had good manners in that repect because if you offered him a biscuit in the morning he wouldn't snatch at it and his mouth never made contact with your fingers when he accepted it either! He only liked Rich Tea biscuits and he actually liked you to tip a cup of warm tea with no sugar in it into his drinking bowl first thing in the morning to drink, but not at any other time of day..... talk about having a quirky personality - he was a character alright!! Oh yes, that's what I was trying to remember the name of - Tamathingy's! I wanted a Nintendog when they first came out, though I'm not really into computer games and stuff. Bought my daughter a Cuddly Nintendog Boxer puppy for christmas that wimpers, barks and lifts its paw when you pat it's head. Yes Anita, I think Terriers are real characters aren't they. They can be really stubborn and hard to train, but they're not silly and can behave when there's something in it for them! I grew up with a little Jack Russel Terrier which can have a terrible reputation for being 'snappy', but our little dog was wonderful and NEVER bit or went for anyone, even when all the kids would pat and play with him when I got out of school. He lived to a ripe old age of 14 and was a much loved pet. Susan x

Oh no Val? I wonder what was happening! I'm having lots of computer probs lately, but I know what's caused it (hubby tried to upgrade my computer ! He works in computers/electronics but somehow everytime he tries to 'improve' something, it's always worse afterwards - bless him)! He's also done something to the tv by adding a new box - it can record two things at once, but seems to knock out some chanels while recording (usually the ones I was watching). He now says he knows how to fix my computer - yeah right - but it's gonna take quite a few hours to run, and then I'll have to re-load a load of stuff. Do you think it'll be back to normal then? Hmmmm! Susan x
