Stunned is what I am - we knew it would come, but thought he had a bit more time left. RIP Patrick Although I liked and have Dirty Dancing, Roadhouse and Ghost here on Video, I liked City of Joy and will have to watch it again soon - I don't have the video or DVD of To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar or I'd watch that too!! I just saw this thread and had to add to it to say how sorry I was to hear about the lovely Patrick Swayze's death. I adored him, and was so saddened to hear that he had passed away.
I will always remember him for such wonderful films - I loved Ghost and Dirty Dancing but my fave has to be Point Break. What a film! I also loved To Wong Foo .... he was superb as a drag queen, and when he barged into the room to "see to" the woman's husband who had been beating her up, saying "time to pick on a woman your own size". Priceless.
You will be greatly missed Patrick. Rest in Peace.

i have a look on his fan site most of the time to see if anything new comes up, found this yesterday
A horse organization has named a scholarship in honour of the late actor Patrick Swayze, who died of pancreatic cancer in September.
The Arabian Horse Foundation, located in Dayton, Ohio, said a scholarship will be awarded each spring to a young person involved with Arabian horses who wants a career in the performing arts.
Swayze and his wife, Lisa Niemi, owned Arabian horses and also competed in shows.
Foundation president Larry Kinneer said the scholarship honours the couple's "love of the Arabian breed and contributions over the years to AHA youth programs."
The 57-year-old actor fought a public battle after revealing in March 2008 that he had the disease.
Swayze, perhaps best known for his starring roles in Red Dawn, Dirty Dancing and Ghost, worked on the series The Beast while battling cancer.
Forever linked to the coming-of-age movie Dirty Dancing, Swayze, himself an accomplished dancer, told an Australian newspaper this year that he was proud of that legacy.
"It's been the cult-following movies that have really surprised me. That's been the real reason why my career has lasted so long."
