Hi there, fellow doll lovers!
My name is Tammi.
I’m 22 years old. I live in a house with my fiancé, our dog, and two cats.
My house is located in Pennsylvania USA.
I have always loved dolls and I had many Barbie’s as a little girl.
I tried to start collecting Barbie again recently. But most of the new Barbie’s do not appeal to me.
So I have been picking up most of my dolls at the Goodwill or yard-sales.
Anyway, about two weeks ago, at the Goodwill store, I seen a small bag, that looked like it had two Barbies in it.
After looking closer I could see that one was cheep knock off Barbie but the other was a doll that I didn’t recognize.
I glanced at the price and seen that the bag was only 45 cents.
So I took a chance on the doll being no good and bought it. (I mean at 45 cents to wasn’t like a was going to be disappointed)
After I got home, I took the dolls out of the bag, and through away the emanation Barbie. (it was old and falling apart) Then I looked at the other doll.
As I pushed the hair out of the little dolls face I was surprise at how cute she was.
She was wearing a blue tanktop, flowered brown skirt, and little white tights.
I could see she needed a good washing. So out came my Mr. Clean sponge and dish soap.
I washed her with the utmost care because I had know idea how fragile she might be.
After I cleaned her up, I could see that, she had been the victim, of a child armed with makeup.
And her soft brown hair was woefully thin in the back.
By now, I was very curious as to who this little doll was, so I began looking for marks, on the back of her head.
Well I’m sure you can guess what I found.
After doing some investigation I found out that the doll was a 1984 Active Sindy.
Now she has been cleaned up with no trace of the makeup that was allover her face.
She is missing one eyelash plug (but you can’t really see it) And I have given her a new head of hair.
Her legs and arms work just like new and all her coloring is still very good.
I think she was a very good find for 45 cents.
She is the first of what I hope will be many Sindy’s.
Thanks for your time.
Tammi.
