My Baby George passed away

Just wanted to say I lost one of my cats, George, today at 1.30am, so if I dont post much on forum, you know why. He was 12ish (was a stray) and I adored him, had him for around 11 yrs. Vet did the hideous injection and he was in my arms, bless him. My other, Harley, is still fussing looking for him. Just wanted to tell others who can relate and chivvy me along. Any nice words will help....

Aww i am so sorry to hear this Sam and i do feel for you they become part of the family don't they. I have cats myself and have also lost two and it is heart wrenching to see them go My cat Ozzy had to be put to sleep and like you he died in my arms while i was sobbing my heart out
Just try to think of all the good times you had with him and his funny little ways that used to make you laugh and you will in time get through this. It is hard at first and your other little cat will miss him . I have a framed little pic of my Ozzy and Ninja and often look at them and say do you remember when Ozzy did this :)or Ninja did that

Hi Val,
Thanks for your lovely words. My friend had a photo printed up of George and posted it through my door, made me bawl my eyes out even more but I know I will appreciate it in time. My other cat, a huge long haired tabby called Harley, hasnt left me, it breaks my heart every time I feed her coz she's looking round for him as he always used to lick the lid off the food to see what I was feeding them, bless. Have lost around 7 cats over the last 30 years or so and I swear it gets harder. Anyway, thanks loads for your reply and thoughts, means a lot....

I am so sorry you have lost your beloved George

They do become part of the family and the loss hits us hard. As for your Harley, he will pine for awhile for his partner so be parient with him and give extra hugs

My thoughts are with you and just know George has crossed the rainbow bridge and will wait for his brother and watch over him from above

Our precious pets mean so much to us and as others have said they are so much a part of the family. I still miss my Jack Russell 'Sindy',after almost 9 years even though i've now got my staffie Tara.

Thinking of you and always remember you will forever have you precious memories.

Hello Sam,

I'm so sorry you lost you're beloved cat.
It's hardbreaking if you have to such a thing but I think it was the last kind thing you could do for him. I recently lost my dog this way. Still mis him...even my cats do.
