On October 10th 2008, I had to say goodbye to my Tabby Tigger. I have posted pictures of her with her brother in another thread. She was only 8 years old and having to make the decision she go across the rainbow bridge was agonizing. As many of you know I went to PEI for two weeks, when I returned home , Tigger was no longer my Tigger. I could no longer reach her on an emotional level.Tigger had licked all her hair off her paws, legs and tummy, she had been on anti-anxiety drops(homeopathic)from the vet which seemed to have helped but she returned to licking off her fur and became anti-social to the point that she had gone feral and was attacking me. She and I had quite the relationship, she knew when I was down, happy etc. I would talk to her like I would talk to another human being and I swear she knew what I was saying. Tigger would pick up my socks and carry them around the house like a prize and meow at the same time only stopping when she found me to drop them at my feet. She always sat beside me at the pc or where ever I was and snuggled. She always had to be around me and I was always there for her. I will miss our talks and cuddles and her sleeping on my head.

Aww Carol how sad she so looks adorable too. They become such a huge part of the family don't they and it is just heart breaking when they are gone. It is such a shame when they turn back to their feral ways as you just cannot help them. . Just treasure your precious moments and memories Carol that you had with Tigger. Thinking of you and hugs xxxxxxxx Val x

So sorry to hear that Carol - I love my Cookie cat and he's approx 13 or 14 now & is starting to look a bit scraggy. It's so worrying knowing that he might not have long left. That's the trouble with our beloved pets - they break your hearts xx Janee xx
