Hello everyone. My name's Liz and Pedigree Sindy was my favourite doll as a child. The highlight of any holiday was deciding which Sindy I wanted to buy with my spending money! I remember carefully unpacking an auburn-haired styling Sindy whilst sitting in a caravan in a very rainy Wales. Sadly, as I grew up, I threw all of my dolls away, but have recently been trying to re-create my childhood collection. My boyfriend thinks it is a mid-life crisis  I have one brunette active, a long-haired blonde active and a standard brunette and I'm gradually collecting 70s and 80s clothes to go with them. What a devine mini collection it sounds that you have already. Well i wonder what your BF would think, im a bloke and have around 2000 dolls, Sindy, Barbie, baby dolls etc. My partner Kevin as over 600. We'll need a big home when we do get to live together. My flat is chocker with dolls.
Good luck with getting the clothes and it doesnt matter what size your collection is so long as they are loved and you enjoy your dolls.

hi liz, a big warm welcome to you.
I started with just one and then this became 3 then 10 etc.....
I think sindy is so exquisetly(sp?) beautiful and cant resist buying more. My hubby also thinks i am a little crazy, although we have just found out a friend of ours collects trainers?!?!?! so me thinking sindy is actually quite normal to collect.
would love to see your dolls? and look forward to lots more chats

Hi Liz,
i started with my 3 dolls from my childhood, didn;t really buy anything til a few months ago and i'm now at 12 dolls, god knows how many clothes and still buying. Sindy is very addictive especiallly when you see some of the gorgeous dolls on here.

Hi Liz I really enjoyed reading your interesting introduction. My husband is a bit tongue in cheek about my humble collection of 14 dolls, but secretively he likes them as they are foil to his petrol pump collection!!! Hiya Liz  Hope you enjoy your time with us all here.  I've just come back from Wales after visiting my family over the weekend. It was wet with them off and on with heavy April showers. I know what you mean about rain and caravans though - my parents had a touring van when I was young and I used to take my Sindy and some of her clothes with me on our regular caravan trips around the country, mainly so I wouldn't be bored when we had wet weather and I couldn't play outside!! ;D Glad to know you're re-kindling your love of Sindy all over again Luv 'Nita xxx |

Hi Liz, Hope you have a fab time here. You sound like me with regards to the dolls, had some, lost them, regaining them, except I managed to keep a brunette sunshine from my youth. She had a bad mohican when I rooted her out of my old toys so she now has a wonderful crowning glory of ginger curls.... And green eyes!!! I must get round to finishing her and put photos of before and after. Am trying to decide what kind of dress to make her though. Decisions, decisions.... Love sam...xxx
