Hello from a new member

;DJust thought I would say hi and apologies in advance as I am totally new to all this on-line stuff.

Erm where to start loads of memories came flooding back when I went in my mums loft and found all my Sindy dolls and all the furniture I had. Decided to let my daughter play with it because well I didn't need it anymore but after five minutes I was putting the furniture away in its original boxes and brushing my dolls hair because it wasn't just so. Then my brother said go on-line as there were probably other people who had found the joy of Sindy again so I did and here I am. Here to making lots of friends.

To be honest I had forgotten how much I had but I have had so much fun dressing my dolls any playing with it with my daughter brought back some really happy memories. At the moment she is really taken with the Range Rover and the beach buggy with its tent and sleeping bag. Mum found all her Sindy knitting patterns the other week I didn't realise how lucky I was! May have a go at knitting a couple of bits!!!

Hi Rachael - I'm a newbie too - the internet is wonderful for born again sindy collectors!! You will find some great sites out there - lots run by members run on this forum. Also - you wait til you get onto ebay - that'll blow your mind!! That's how I started "re-collecting" - I got my childhood stuff out of the loft and remembered that some of my stuff found their way to a friends house in about 1984 never to be reunited with me again !! I had ideas of replacing the lost 7 or 8 items and now my house is absolutely over-run with blimmin' SIndy stuff.................Look forward to seeing your "stuff" when you have time Cheers Janee xx

This forum is great you are all so friendly and I now do not feel silly at enjoying playing with my Sindy's. Problem is I now do not want my little girl to play with the stuff and I hate myself for feeling it. Sindy really was a great doll and all her accessories and furniture shear genius. My brother is going to help me with getting sorted with e-bay can't wait to see whats on there! My Sindy's and sindy stuff starts from the 1977. Once I fathom out my camera will sort will take some pics. Nice to be among friends.

As others have said it must be great to have your old Sindy stuff. You could buy your daughter new Sindys from Woolies and just let her enjoy yours carefully with you.
