Yes I liked Frasier too. I'm suprised it hasn't been repeated much on TV in the same way Friends has! I guess it's not so appealing to the 'younger' audience or something? Susan x

Possibly not, Susan, although I was in my early teens when it started and I watched it from day one. I had also watched later series of Cheers growing up, so it made sense to try the spin off.
A rare example, I think, of a spin off being far superior.

The costumes are gorgeous. I always think Mary looks beautiful, which is why I want to see the wedding. I hope they don't skip over it, or worse and that something else happens to stop it.

We are loving ' MODERN FAMILY' it's a really well written American sitcom, so well observed, hilarious! Both Tony and I love a bit of horror, 'American Horror Story' has been really good old fashion horror with Jessica Lange, very dark and spooky. We have also been watching 'The Walking Dead' a great suspense Zombie series, Tony is obsessed with Zombies! Recently have started watching a new series ' Fallen Skies' an alien invasion series, these three have all been on the FX Channel. We tape them as there are sooo many adverts on these channels. The adverts are almost as long as the programme now!

For me it has to be NCIS closely followed by NCIS Los Angeles. I just lurve Mark Harmon (LeRoy Jethro Gibbs). Like Michael Weatherley as an actor (Anthony DiNozzo) - he was in Dark Angel with Jessica Alba. Steve & I both liked that too The original NCIS is back on FX on Friday 13 January for Series 9 but the NCIS LA Series is on Sky Living from New Year's Day. Also a fan of Downton Abbey but not seen it yet - taped it as we knew the parents wouldn't want to watch it over Christmas!! Luv Anita xxx

Simpsons/Spongebob/iCarly/Young Apprentice are part of the staple diet for our kids! Donna and I are BIG fans of Modern family and Curb your enthusiasm. We just finished Carnival, and are really looking forward to new seasons of Justified and MadMen. Unfortunately, just at the end of November/beginning of December, my Mother in law (who lived with us) passed away. Donna and Hannah and Joseph could always be found watching X Factor/Britains got talent with her. It constantly amazed me how someone in the grip of Dementia could always, not only sing a long, but spot who really had talent! Then there's Britain/Australia/America's next top model LOL!!! Life's too short, and American restoration. Sheesh - where do I get the time to play with Dolls! And Hello Kitty What card!!!!

'The walking dead' was fab wasn't It, we watched the 1st season over a weekend, I think there's going to be another one. Ive heard great things about' American horror story' and 'Modern family' but we don't have Sky, so usually wait for box sets. I see next season of the brilliant 'Mad men' is gone over to Sky now. I know It's not in the same league but I really enjoyed 'Pan Am' that was on recently, I automatical watch anything set in the '50's/60's for the sets/clothes. Downton was great wasn't It, I think they're doing one more series. Oh and also love 'Curb your enthusiasm'. Not heard of 'Blue bloods', have to look into that. 'True blood' is a great favourite. End of waffling! Laurie

I don't watch a lot of tv but my never miss programmes through the year is The Apprentice shows. Currently watching the re-runs of Foyle's war as I didn't catch them first time around. Michael Kitchen is so cool even though he does make me think of Prince Charles all the time.
Did anyone catch a programme called 'Extreme Couponing' - it was on an obscure sky channel so probably not. Basically it's about women in America who clip coupons from magazines in order to save vast sums of money at the checkout. They organise their shopping trips like military operations and it can take up to 2 hours to check out. They don't do normal shopping, they have a campaign list to buy only what is on offer with their coupons and they take this all home and put it in purpose built storerooms. So if there's an offer on toilet roll for example, they buy about 200 packs of it. But.....the money they save is staggering and equates to an annual salary! One woman bought 4 full trollies and was aiming for a zero spend, but she miscalculated and had to spend about $5 to cover her $2,000 worth of groceries. Mindblowing stuff. Wish I had the time and discipline LOL.

The coupon programme sounds mad, I am useless with special offers, I am always a bit suspicious. I almost got taken in by the wrinkle cream scam on the web at the moment- but my suspicion made me do a bit of research and found a thread where a few people where moaning about getting caught up in the substantial monthly direct debits beware! I watched a few of the PanAm and enjoyed them, I haven't got into MadMen, which is strange for me as it really has had such an impact on the fashion industry. It's just never been on when I watch Telly!!?? I might have to treat myself to the box set, my sister just loves it! I haven't watched Downton either, I have caught a few episode, but have found it a bit slow and wooden, though after your praise in did watch the Christmas special whilst nursing my cold on New Years Eve afternoon and really enjoyed it, I guess I was in the right frame of mind for it. I also loge to watch The Apprentice, it's captivating TV. I think I watch too much telly!!!
