just joined the forum so I will tell you a little story about how I come to collecting sindys.
I have never owned a sindy doll
All I wanted as a little girl was a sindy, never got one for christmas or birthdays. Why I dont know. All my friends had them so I used to play with theirs, they didnt only have one sindy but two and three, so one day I had a plan. My friend and I were playing with her sindys in the garden, I stuck one of her sindy dolls up my jumper and said, clutching my tummy, that I had to go home I had tummy ache. I ran across home with the sindy feeling really guilty then tried to convince myself that I was rescuing sindy from having to stay in the outhouse another night (this is where my freind kept her sindy dolls) I told my mum the next day I had found the sindy doll, but as mums do she saw straight through me and made me give it back........ 
Then last week I was in a charity shop and picked up two sindy dolls for £1.00 I thought I would sell them on ebay. When I got them home and took them out of the bag I couldnt beleive how lovely they were. So they are not going on ebay but are the start of my collection. So I finally own my own sindy doll after 28 years
so look forward to talking to everyone soon
